We’re an independent repair workshop based at 9 Mickleton Drive, Leicester LE5 6GE. We started TheTechResort because replacing a £70 controller every time the sticks drift is wasteful — and because we genuinely enjoy bringing hardware back to life. The same goes when an HDMI port fails or a console won’t power on: paying for a whole new unit is costly and wasteful when the real fix is often a single component.
Today we handle everything from controller stick replacements and Hall effect upgrades to full console board repairs: HDMI ports, BIOS faults, encoder ICs, retimer chips, liquid metal reapplication and full thermal cleans. If it’s broken, we’ll tell you honestly whether it’s worth fixing. As gamers ourselves, we’ve felt the frustration of every one of these problems — this is a business for gamers, by gamers.
