Stick drift repair & Hall effect / TMR upgrade
Standard thumbsticks use potentiometers — carbon tracks that physically wear down, which is why drift creeps back. We either replace the worn stick module like-for-like (£20), or upgrade you to magnetic Hall effect / TMR sticks that have nothing to wear out (£20 per stick, £35 for both). Both are fitted in-house and fully recalibrated.

Full teardown

Common questions
Standard replacement or Hall effect — which should I pick?
Standard stick module replacement is £20 and covers the controller — a straightforward fix that gets it working properly again. Hall effect / TMR uses magnets instead of a wearing carbon track, so drift can't return: £20 per stick or £35 for both. If you've already had one drift repair, go Hall effect.
Will Hall effect sticks stop drift permanently?
Yes — magnetic sensors have no contact surface to wear away, which is the cause of drift on standard sticks. It's the closest thing to a permanent fix there is.
Should I do one stick or both?
On a standard replacement it's £20 either way. On Hall effect it's £20 for one stick or £35 for both — most people do both, because the second stick usually follows within a few months.
Does it change how the controller feels?
Slightly smoother and more precise, with the same throw and tension. Nothing about the layout, shell or buttons changes.
How long does it take?
Same day if you drop off in Leicester — usually under two hours. Mail-in is typically turned around within 48 hours of arrival.
What if it can't be fixed?
No fix, no fee. If the controller turns out to have damage that makes the repair uneconomical, we tell you before doing anything and you don't pay for the repair.
