No picture, a flickering screen or 'no signal' on every TV usually means the HDMI port itself is damaged, not the cable or the console. We desolder the broken port, fit a new OEM-grade one and test it on 4K — £50 on PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One and One S, £70 on PS5, PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X|S. Where the fault is the Xbox Series retimer chip rather than the port, we replace that instead.

What we do
We open the console on an ESD-safe bench, remove the shielding and desolder the damaged HDMI port from the board with hot air — no chip-quik shortcuts that lift pads. A new OEM-grade port is fitted, every pin inspected under a microscope, and the board reflowed cleanly. On Xbox Series X|S the fault is often the NB7N621M retimer IC rather than the port itself; we test for that first and replace the chip if that's what's failed. Every console is reassembled, run on a 4K display and given a 90-day warranty.

How much is HDMI port replacement?
£50 on PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One and Xbox One S. £70 on PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. Add a full internal clean and thermal service at the same time for £65 total on older consoles, £100 on PS5 and Xbox Series.
How do I know it's the port and not my TV or cable?
Try another HDMI cable and a different input first. If you still get no signal on more than one TV, and the console powers on normally, it's almost always the port or the retimer chip on the board. We diagnose it properly before quoting.
What is the NB7N621M retimer?
It's the HDMI signal chip on Xbox Series X|S. It fails more often than the port itself and produces the same 'no signal' symptom. Replacing it is £70 and it's board-level micro-soldering — we do it in-house.
Will I lose my games or save data?
No. HDMI work doesn't touch the drive, so your games, saves and account stay exactly as they are.
How long does it take?
